TV director/producer active in the late 60s early 70s

A journalist by background, with beginnings in Fleet Street. ln 1956, as Features Editor for British United Press, he was invited to join Independent Television News as chief scriptwriter on news bulletins and became acting producer.

When ITN created a new department, Special Features, he was appointed editor

After deciding London was losing its appeal he looked around the world for somewhere to escape to, and picked a move to New Zealand.

In 1971 he initiated the first colour movie, a documentary series with Sir Edmund Hillary as front man.
