Pagonis, Lousie

Born in Dunedin, Pagonis began her broadcasting career in 1981 as a researcher on “Fair Go.” A year later she moved on to work as a presenter and field reporter for “Production Line” and “Credo.” 

In 1985 she moved to the TVNZ newsroom in Wellington, and, after a three-month stint with the BBC. in Birmingham in 1986, transferred to Auckland to work for “Eyewitness News.”

As well as reporting, Pagonis presented “Newsbreak’’ on Two once a week, doing the Weather twice a month and reading news on “Eyewitness”
