Hayden, John

Newsreader and presenter who began his career as an accounts officer for the NZBC in Napier, then became one of the country's youngest radio announcers. He worked for radio in Invercargill and Christchurch, and for television in Christchurch, Wellington and eventually Auckland. As well as doing news and continuity announcing, he compered the 1979 Pacific Song Quest.
