Bradley, Tom

Tom spent several years as a radio announcer in Wellington before graduation to television work. Ambitious enough to keep an eye on the main chance, he grabbed a slice of the action and promotion when Television Two started making big noises.

Tom Bradley gained a certain notoriety as the behind-the-scenes mystery voice on Television One in 1975. The disembodied presentation displeased many viewers who expected & face to go along with a voice on television.

Anyway, public opinion swayed the powers that were then, and he emerged from relative obscurity to become a well-known visitor to sitting rooms up and down the country.
