Riggir, Patsy
Won three categories of the New Zealand country music awards in 1980, having worked in a Putaruru supermarket until the middle of that year. Her first LP, True Country Music, was recorded only after a campaign on her behalf by country music clubs, but it was judged best LP and best produced record. Her song It's Not Love with Anyone But You also won her the best new talent category. Before making the record she had been singing part-time for seven years
