Jones, Josie
Josephine Mary Jones was born in Devonshire, England, as she said her accent could verify. Her New Zealand life began in 1955 when she came to live on Auckland's North Shore. The family moved to Dunedin in 1964.
Her membership in International Toastmistress Clubs saw her speaking to many organisations, on a variety of subjects, and in judging and participating in debates.
She read a great deal, both for education and pleasure. Her and her family belonged to the Pine Hill Palladium Players, a small group which took variety concerts to many 'shut in' residents of Dunedin's homes and hospitals.
